Dear CapShift Community Members,
I am thrilled to share with you the remarkable milestones we have achieved together this year under the banner of “Impact in Action.” This theme truly encapsulates the spirit and drive of our clients and partners, who have turned previously passive assets into tangible, life-changing outcomes.
Early in 2024, our collective efforts propelled us to the milestone of $500 million catalyzed. Roughly half of the $500 million catalyzed by CapShift to date has gone to impact first opportunities that are underserved by traditional financial markets.1
One of the most inspiring aspects has been the incredible surge in action this past year. We catalyzed over $310 million—more than double the previous year’s contributions.2 This tremendous growth is a direct reflection of your dedication to making a real difference, whether it’s transforming food systems, tackling climate change, or improving access to healthcare and education in local communities and around the globe.
We also launched our Research Engine, a groundbreaking tool that helps financial advisors, family offices, and foundations easily identify purpose-driven investment and recoverable grant opportunities. With over 1,100 opportunities and more than 225 that have been reviewed and rated, this tool is set to make it easier for teams trying to deliver customized impact investment solutions to their clients.
This year, we also released new tools designed for financial professionals. Our Advisor’s No-nonsense Guide to Impact Investing and the launch of our podcast, Capsule, aim to demystify impact investing. As more clients turn to their advisors for answers on where to get started, we want to make it easy for you to find actionable insights and get smart on emerging topics quickly. We hope these tools answer your most frequently asked questions and help you deliver impactful solutions to clients.
In addition, our collaboration with Multiplier Advisors on a primer for investing in health with an equity lens is another step forward. This guide serves as an informative and actionable resource for those interested in specific health conditions, communities, or broader commitments to social equity.
We’re excited to share more details on many of these items in this interactive report and encourage you to explore these resources where they’re most relevant to your work.
Looking forward, expect the Research Engine to continue expanding. The impact investing movement is growing and we’re adding upwards of 50 new private impact investments each month.3 We know that advisors want new tools to easily integrate impact investments into client conversations. This year, our Impact Reports are built to be added to client presentations and are available in the Research Engine and your client’s portal. You can see the breadth CapShift is delivering and use these reports with prospects. This is the first of several tools we’re building for client-facing representatives.
We want to hear from you! Your feedback makes us better and guides new product decisions. We can react quickly to your needs, so please, let us know what would make it easier for you to delight your clients.
The complexity of the issues we face requires continued effort and dedication. “Impact in Action” is not just a theme for us—it is a guiding principle. Together, we hope to enable billions of dollars to flow into changemaking funds and enterprises, continuing to turn values and aspirations into actions that shape a better world.
Thank you for your unwavering support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Adam Rein
