Are you looking to help lead the growth and expansion of a mission-focused business scaling impact investing throughout the private wealth and charitable sectors?

We are seeking a Managing Director of Marketing and Growth to accelerate our Marketing, Sales, and Client Engagement efforts and to join our leadership team in shaping Product Strategy.

All roles at CapShift require flexibility and collaboration, given the start-up nature of the organization. CapShift is looking for a Managing Director of Marketing and Growth who will help lead:

Brand

Be the steward and visionary behind CapShift’s brand, refining our messaging, product naming, and look and feel as our business grows and evolves. You will own Product and Sales Messaging to best meet the needs of our clients and prospects.

You’ll also spearhead key brand items like the website and annual impact report.

Marketing

  • Campaign Development – Develop marketing campaigns to attract and engage financial professionals and philanthropic leaders to make more impact investments, work closely with our Research Team to highlight CapShift’s unique expertise and insight. This includes campaigns for new prospects as well as activating our existing clients.
  • Content Creation and Distribution – Develop unique ideas and concepts that lead to the creation of content and collateral to help CapShift’s financial and philanthropic professional clients grow and delight clients.

    This may involve education materials around private investments or impact investing or thought leadership work around topics such as climate, racial justice and catalytic philanthropy. You’ll need to develop creative ways to use social media, email marketing, CapShift’s website, webinars and more to share this content and CapShift’s story with our target audience.

  • Client Engagement – Provide marketing support to the institutions we serve as they roll out impact investing capabilities to their clients, including donor advised fund providers, financial advisors, and charitable institutions.
  • Manage – Manage the marketing team, currently one Sr. Manager and a Fellow, with an open Associate role plus the broader marketing and sales budget.

Business Development

We’re looking for someone who is excited to use marketing to scale CapShift’s platform. This means working hand in hand with our CEO and Business Development Team to make sure our messaging resonates, our collateral reflects what we’re hearing from clients and prospects and that we’re utilizing marketing and business development tools to understand feedback from the market.
Two key areas of lead generation in the business development area you’ll oversee with support from the broader team are:

  • Event Management – develop high-quality local events to showcase our expertise and educate key prospects on the value of integrating impact investing into their practice.
  • Conferences – ensure our team is showing up in the places where our potential clients go to learn and network, rigorously evaluate the success of these efforts and refine strategy year on year.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience; preferably in financial services
  • Experience being in a customer facing role and managing deliverables
  • Experience working with web-based analytics and promotional tools
  • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills
  • Desire to work in a high growth, flexible startup environment in which employees are expected to take on multiple responsibilities and leadership positions
  • Proactive, thoughtful, self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to effectively communicate across multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, MarketingCloud and High Velocity Sales desired
