Responsibilities
- Business development leadership coordination
- Report to the Head of Sales and facilitate annual and quarterly goals
- Manage and maintain Salesforce CRM tools, including pipeline reporting to leadership
- Manage Sales Playbook, key collateral, and facilitate team initiatives
- Lead generation
- Research leads and prospects to qualify and score their potential
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads through introductory calls with family offices, advisors, donors, and foundations
- Conduct outreach and participate at conferences and events to generate and qualify new leads, including building relationships with key influencers in the impact investing sector
- Direct sales account lead
- Grow over time to own relationships with a set of prospects
- Be responsible for relationship development, proposal development, closing the relationship – with support from our broader team.
- Expectation of travel up to 1-2 times per month
- Inside sales support
- Coordinate meetings between prospective clients and business development team
- Develop client specific presentations, proposals, and RFP responses to support a team-based approach to business development
- Partner with Marketing team to plan and participate in roundtables and events
- Deeply understand CapShift’s mission, value proposition and product to effectively communicate with potential clients, in coordination with Product and Marketing teams
- Develop deep expertise in the impact investing market – including issues such as climate, racial justice, community investing, and global health – by monitoring industry trends

Qualifications
- 2-6 years of direct experience in business development, client management, or sales experience
- Track record of consistently exceeding lead and/or closing targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excitement for being trained across business development, marketing, sales and product, with a goal to take on growing business development responsibilities
- A passion to work for a mission-driven and growth-oriented company, and become an expert in the impact investing field
- Desire to work in a high-growth, flexible startup environment in which employees are expected to take on multiple responsibilities, with prior startup experience preferred
- Preferred knowledge of ESG, sustainability, and impact investment
- Preferred proficiency with Salesforce CRM software and experience building sales reports
- Preferred experience in the asset management, financial services, private wealth, and/or charitable sectors
