


Are you passionate about the intersection of storytelling, impact measurement, and finance?
We are seeking a summer intern who will play a critical role in helping mission-driven organizations communicate their work and impact to donors and investors through storytelling and data. Over the course of the internship, you will gain both an in-depth understanding of the social impact landscape — from community development finance institutions to catalytic climate funds — as well as knowledge on specific social/environmental impact models and outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Revamp CapShift’s product profiles on mission-driven organizations through background research and strategic writing
- Acquire a deep understanding of the breadth of impact opportunities, and effectively convey this information through storytelling
- Evaluate and analyze social & environmental impact data, including year-over-year analysis and distillation at the organization or portfolio level
- Draft client-facing reports on the annual impact performance of opportunities
- Coordinate with a segment of mission-driven organizations on product updates and key collateral, such as offering documents and visual assets
- Potential support on strategic projects related to impact reporting needs of CapShift’s client base
- Take ownership of projects and see them through from start to finish over course of the internship
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or degree in progress) in economics, journalism, finance, business, or equivalent
- Interest in impact investing, social enterprises, social impact, and storytelling
- Strong writing, interviewing, and editing skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, creative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability and eagerness to take ownership of projects
- Fit with high-growth, startup environment: ability to be a team player, juggle multiple priorities, and learn and adapt quickly

Compensation: The weekly rate for this position is $720 ($18 an hour, no overtime).
